Placement
5683 should be placed in areas that typically have lower disease levels. It has been very consistent across Minnesota and especially strong in South Dakota. 5683 handles stress very well and is a great companion to 5623 in tougher environments.
Positioning
Use 5683 in areas where RoundUp herbicide is used and corn borer protection is desirable. 5683 is a strong companion to 5733 in MN and 5623 in SD. Semi Flex ear lets this hybrid handle low and high populations.
