Exceptional seed doesn’t just happen. It comes out of a strong and vigorous research program. Producers Hybrids’ product offerings have been developed by the unparalleled breeding and testing program of AgReliant® Genetics.

An example is our groundbreaking work with dihaploid technology—a process that greatly reduces the time it takes to bring a new hybrid to market. While other seed companies utilize dihaploid technology, AgReliant Genetics was the first in the U.S. to introduce the process for hybrid development, and we remain an industry leader.

One-of-a-kind Genetics
As an independent seed company plugged into the global network of our parent companies, our seed breeders have another distinct advantage. We are one of only six companies world wide that has its own private genetics’ library. While we can still tap into the genetic pool and biotech traits of major seed suppliers, we’re not limited to those selections.

Whether it’s partnering with our counterparts in Europe, or drawing upon research from our breeding stations in North America, Puerto Rico, or South America, Producers Hybrids can offer a broader genetic mix—allowing you to better spread your risk when it comes to seed selection.

Hybrids for the Western Corn Belt
Four of AgReliant Genetics’ 11 U.S. research stations focus specifically on developing winning hybrids for Producers Hybrids’ territory. Researchers in Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska develop and test hybrids that will meet the challenges of a variety of management practices as well as geographies, weather, and soils unique to the western Corn Belt.

Hybrids with promise move into our final on-farm testing program that pits our best prospects against competitor hybrids. Only those hybrids that survive the rigorous testing program will bear the Producers Hybrids’ name.
